Do you or your child have
TROUBLE CONCENTRATING OR BEING PRODUCTIVE?

Having trouble concentrating and/or being optimally productive can be an indication of a learning difficulty or the inability to work or learn effectively. As an experienced occupational therapist, I make use of internationally researched programs and approaches to help my clients develop a growth-oriented mindset, executive function skills, metacognition, thinking skills, learning skills, etc. I work with groups and individuals.

Over the past 20 years, working with parents, learners, educators and other professionals, I have developed processes and models in my practice (e.g. REAL Learning Process) to help my clients improve their focus and reach their full potential.

“Lazy is a disparaging label often hurled at people, young and old, but it is an unjust one. Some individuals somehow, somewhere lose momentum; in the pursuit of accomplishment they fail to produce. Often they face false accusations of laziness. In truth, through no fault of their own, they suffer hidden handicaps that disrupt and interrupt their output. They are not lazy; they have output failure.”

SERVICES FOR LEARNERS FROM GRADE 4 AND OLDER:

I provide intervention for children of Generation X and Y Parents who choose to…

  • Focus on REAL Thinking and Learning to BE MORE – not only extra lessons, tutors, etc.;
  • Invest in building a growth-oriented mindset in their children;
  • Help their children to develop skills for better thinking and learning;
  • Foster the development of executive function skills;
  • Assist their children to develop themselves, cultivate social and emotional skills for coping academically and building resilience for future challenges, problems, or disruptions so that when they grow up, they can adapt and handle what comes at them;
  • Empower their children to become more metacognitive, reflective, self-regulated, confident and independent.
I provide intervention to empower Generation Z learners (and Gen Y learners) who have a desire to…
  • Focus on REAL Thinking and Learning to BE MORE (where they are ‘less’);
  • Develop a growth-oriented mindset and to grow their potential;
  • Improve their executive function skills such as goal setting, cognitive flexibility, organizing and prioritising, managing their working memory, using self-monitoring, etc.
  • Be empowered with knowledge and skills to become more metacognitive, reflective, self-regulated and independent;
  • Become better thinkers and learners that can cope academically and in life;
  • Have more effective social and emotional skills (and tools) to handle challenges in life;
